 Pakistan National Accreditation Council was established in 1988 under the observation and supervision of government of Pakistan and its main objective is to administrate and affiliate the laboratories and certification bodies across country on the order of Pakistan government and Pakistan National Accreditation Council joined the World Trade Organization after its establishment. This council is the subordinate to the Ministry of Science and Technology which is also worked in the control of Pakistan government.

 Pakistan National Accreditation Council was join with WTO in 1995 and services of Pakistan National Accreditation Council was launched in the year of 2001. Now Pakistan is included in the list of those countries who accreditation and regulate the laboratories having equal status in outside world.
